Hello internet,

I’m Laura. I am 22-years-old. I grew up near Seattle, where the local music scene is huge and people are pretty apathetic. In May, I will be graduating with two degrees from Drake University: magazine journalism and English. (Shut up. I like words.) Someday, I’ll edit books.

Oh. And I like cats.

Uh, little red bird?

Little red bird is the nickname I earned my sophomore year of college, for being a little bit snoopy and having red hair. (Who knew the two went together?!) When I had to start a blog for my journalism classes, I decided that was a pretty unique title. So there you have it.

So this blog is about…?

It used to be about music. Then it was about books. Now, it’s really about whatever I want it to be about. I like the freedom for now.
